Our approach
Marine canvas fails predictably: the stitching rots in UV long before the fabric does, and clear windows cloud and crack.
Most covers written off as “gone” are entirely repairable — and repairing yours costs a fraction of a new one. We’ll tell you honestly which side of that line yours sits on.
Canvas repairs we carry out
Restore the canvas you already own
Every repair is done by hand in our Pwllheli loft by the same team that makes new canvas from scratch — so it’s finished to the standard of new.
Restitching & seams
UV-rotted thread is the single most common canvas failure. We restitch seams and stress points with UV-stable thread so the repair outlasts the last one.

Fantastic service, fixed our sail quickly when we tore a seam en route elsewhere so didn't delay our plans too much. If you're lucky you'll even meet a cute four-legged helper!

Cover repair FAQs
We’re here to help

Ask us a question
Can you just replace the window in my sprayhood?
Yes — clouded or cracked windows are one of our most common jobs. We replace the clear PVC panel without remaking the whole hood, which keeps the cost right down.
My stitching has rotted but the fabric looks fine — is it worth restitching?
Usually, yes. Canvas typically outlasts its thread, so a full restitch in UV-stable thread often gives you several more seasons from a cover that looks past it.
Is it cheaper to repair or replace a cover?
Repair is almost always cheaper — often a fraction of the cost of new. We’ll assess honestly and only recommend replacement when a repair genuinely isn’t worth your money.
Do you re-proof covers to make them waterproof again?
Yes — re-proofing restores water resistance to covers that have started letting water through, and it’s often worth doing alongside a restitch.
Do you collect, or do I bring it in?
Either — drop off at our Pwllheli loft, or we’ll arrange pick-up across North Wales. We handle canvas from further afield too.
How much does a cover repair cost?
It depends entirely on the job, so we quote each one after seeing it. Send a photo and we’ll give you a clear price before starting.
