Our approach

Sails don't fail on the dock — they fail when you're out on the water. A worn seam, UV damage or a small tear only gets more expensive the longer it's left.

We assess honestly, repair properly, and tell you straight when a sail's worth saving and when it isn't.

How we look after your sails

Repairs, servicing & storage under one roof

Whatever state your sails are in, they're handled by the same experienced team in our Pwllheli loft — and you deal directly with the people doing the work.

Repairs

Torn panels, blown seams, worn batten pockets, damaged hardware and UV wear — repaired to last, not patched to fail again next season.

Fantastic service, fixed our sail quickly when we tore a seam en route elsewhere so didn't delay our plans too much. If you're lucky you'll even meet a cute four-legged helper!

Beyond repair?

We'll tell you honestly

Sometimes a sail's had its day — and we'll tell you honestly when that point's been reached. If a repair isn't worth your money, we'll design and build a replacement in the same loft, measured to your rig.

Sail repair FAQs

We’re here to help

Can't see your question? Call us on +44 1758 613266 and you'll speak to a sailmaker.

Ask us a question

Is it worth repairing a sail or should I replace it?

It depends on the sail's age, the cloth condition and the damage. A single tear in an otherwise sound sail is almost always worth repairing; widespread UV degradation usually isn't. We'll assess honestly and tell you straight before you spend anything.

How quickly can you repair a sail?

Turnaround is typically 2–3 weeks depending on the damage and the time of year — repairs are fastest outside the spring rush, so don't leave it until the season's on top of you. If you're racing or cruising past the area, we'll always do our best to get you back on the water ASAP.

Do you collect sails or do I bring them to you?

Either. Drop off at our Pwllheli loft, or we'll arrange pick-up across North Wales. We handle sails from further afield too.

Can you clean and store my sails over winter?

Yes — we offer valeting and dry, heated winter storage. Booked together, your sails come back cleaned, inspected and ready for spring.

Do you repair dinghy and furling sails?

Yes — from Laser and Topper sails to large furling genoas, including UV strip repair.

How much does a sail repair cost?

It's entirely dependent on the damage, so we quote each job individually after assessment. Send a photo or drop the sail in and we'll give you a clear price before starting.
